Student Orientation
Royal Metro College provides orientation for new students to support a successful transition into their studies and life in British Columbia.
Orientation is provided before or at the start of the program and is available to all new students.
Purpose of Orientation
Orientation is designed to help students:

Learn about available student services and supports

Prepare for studying and living in British Columbia
Orientation Content
Orientation may include the following topics:

Program overview, course structure, and completion requirements

Class schedules, attendance expectations, and academic policies

Student conduct, complaint procedures, and key College policies

Health, safety, and wellness resources

Housing information and tenancy rights

Local community resources and daily life information
Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to attend orientation and review the information provided. Understanding program requirements and College policies is important for academic success.
Students are encouraged to ask questions during orientation and to seek clarification if needed.
