Program Overview
The IAP program is designed to help students meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement for most programs at the RMC. IAP level 2 focuses on enhancing student’s academic reading, writing and listening skills, and further developing their speaking and presentation skills gained in IAP level 1 .
To support and complement both synchronous and asynchronous classroom learning, IAP students will receive individual counselling and assistance from the Academic Resource Center with their learning programs. In addition, students will participate in social and cultural activities at the College.
IAP level 2 is designed to give students the skills, strategies and confidence needed to succeed in the Canadian college vocational system and in a professional workplace setting. Upon successful completion of this intensive course, students will establish a high-intermediate level of English language fluency inline with an IELTS score of 6.0 (Academic Band).
