Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a critical role in providing education and care for young children. ECE Assistants work alongside ECEs and/or Infant Toddler Educators in licensed child care programs for children.
This program provides knowledge and skills contained in selected courses in: child growth and development; guiding behaviour; and, health safety and nutrition.
Read MoreThe IAP is designed to help students meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement for most programs at the RMC. IAP level 1 focuses on developing student’s basic academic reading and writing skills, preparing student’s listening skills, and develop speaking and presentation skills essential for academic success.
To support and complement both synchronous and asynchronous classroom learning, IAP students will receive individual counselling and assistance from the Academic Resource Center with their learning programs. In addition, students will participate in social and cultural activities at the College.
IAP level 1 is designed to give students the skills, strategies and confidence needed to succeed in the Canadian college vocational system. Upon successful completion of this intensive course, students will establish a high-intermediate level of English language fluency inline with an IELTS score of 5.5 (Academic Band).
